Tommy Wasiuta

Tommy Wasiuta is a tap dancer hailing from Foristell, Missouri. He trained at Performing Arts Centre under the direction of Tracy Davenport and Anthony Russo. Tommy is an alumnus of the Tap Program at The School at Jacob’s Pillow (2017) and the University of Missouri - St. Louis (2020, BS in Accounting, Magma Cum Laude). He is a co-founder and performer with St. Louis-based professional tap company, moSTLy Tap. In March 2021, he released “Tommy Wasiuta Feet. EBTKS”, an original tap and jazz album in collaboration with EBTKS (Everything But The Kitchen Sink). Notably, Tommy has recently performed at the Emerson Spring to Dance Festival, The St. Lou Revue with Circus Flora, and “The Ground Sound” with the Radiant Rhythm Initiative. He has also performed alongside the JaM Project, Anthony Russo, Ariana Savalas, the St. Louis Big Band, and the University of Missouri Jazz Ensemble. He has taught across the United States including at the Center of Creative Arts (COCA), the Swingin’ into Summer Tap Festival, RIFF Dallas Tap Festival, and Beyond the Stars Dance Convention.

Tommy is one of the founding members of moSTLy TAP.  He is currently living in New York City and has been working on multiple performance projects, although he continues to join moSTLy TAP as a guest performer.  He currently teaches weekly tap classes at STEPS on Broadway.
