about stlrc
STL Rhythm Collaborative (STLRC) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to connecting, educating, and inspiring artists of all ages through rhythm, with a special focus on preserving and advancing the art of tap dance. Founded in 2020, STLRC has become a vibrant hub for tap dance in the Midwest, fostering a diverse community of artists and audiences united by a shared passion for the form.

STLRC is home to two professional ensembles: moSTLy TAP, featuring some of the region’s most accomplished tap dancers, and moSTLy JAZZ, a dynamic group of musicians providing live accompaniment for performances. Through high-quality training, workshops, and its nationally recognized annual festival, STLRC offers exceptional educational experiences led by both its resident artists and internationally renowned guest faculty.

The organization’s Pre-Professional Youth and Student Programs offer intensive training and performance opportunities for young dancers across the Midwest who are eager to deepen their skills and engage with the tap community.

STLRC’s ensembles have earned both local and national recognition, with highlights including performances at the Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s Rhythm World festival (2022), a feature in Dance Magazine’s “Top 25 to Watch” (2023), and participation in the inaugural “Top 25 To Watch Live” showcase in New York City.

Our Vision
Our vision is to redefine the appreciation of live music and dance in the St. Louis area.
