Our annual STL Rhythm Fest focuses on honoring the history and artistry of music & dance, with a focus on tap dance. We're celebrating the artists (past & present) who have dedicated their lives to the form. All of the activities are intended to bring our community together to learn, celebrate, and be inspired by one another. We bring renowned artists from our local community and across the nation to share their expertise with our students .
For many years, the R. L. Reed Tap Heritage Institute, under the direction of Professor Robert L. Reed, produced the St. Louis Tap Festival (STLF). During STLF’s tenure, thousands of artists and enthusiasts from all over the world have attended the festival’s activities and have recognized the St. Louis area as a hub for the art of tap dance. STL Rhythm Collaborative honors the commitment and contributions of the late Professor Robert L. Reed at our STL Rhythm Fest. In future years, it is our vision to expand the scope of educational opportunities available through STL Rhythm Fest, using the renowned St. Louis Tap Festival as a model. Your support is greatly appreciated.
