Gina Barrera
Gina Barrera is a St. Louis native who has been tap dancing her whole life and considers it her first love. She has performed professionally in St. Louis, Chicago, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, and taught for over 15 years at studios throughout St. Louis and Chicago. She is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago. In 2003, Gina produced her first live dance concert, Chicago Dance Movement, at the Athenaeum Theatre, and went on to create numerous performances—including the long-running Duets for My Valentine —through her former nonprofit, Luminous Arts Productions. She has collaborated with a wide range of dance companies, including The Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Tap Theatre, MADD Rhythms, Giordano Dance Chicago & Lehrer Dance. In 2021, Gina opened Studio Ivanhoe Pilates in St. Louis where she is endlessly grateful to share her love of movement with her Pilates family. She is beyond honored to be dancing with MoSTLy TAP and spends her free time with her husband and two daughters.
